Community Art Workshops Planned for March 16

The community is invited to participate in an afternoon of arts workshops at Willow Grove Church, being hosted by local artists. There will be a variety of art workshops for everyone on March 16 from 2 – 6 p.m.

Workshops held for elementary school-aged children will include drawing/collage from nature as well as recycled art. Workshops for adults and teens will include a workshop on basic drawing as well as perspective drawing. Light snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the afternoon. All necessary supplies will be provided.

The afternoon is scheduled as follows: Registration: 2-2:15 Set 1 Workshops: 2:15-3:45 (Drawing/Collage from Nature & Basic Drawing) Break/Registration: 3:45-4:30 Set 2 Workshops: 4:30-6:00 (Recycled Art & Perspective Drawing) Please be sure to register by March 13. Space is limited, so please reserve a space by providing the participant’s name and age via email to: artforallworkshop@gmail.com. Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Willow Grove Presbyterian Church is located at 1961 Raritan Road off of Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains.

This arts program is made possible in part by a HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) grant from the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders. It is sure to be an inspiring and creative day for all who attend. We look forward to creating a wonderful afternoon with you.
