Community Comes Together to Support Quaid Mobus
WARREN, N J - Quaid Mobus, a 2010 graduate of Watchung Hills Regional High School, was in an ATV accident on Friday, September 20. Mobus was four wheeling the day before his sister's wedding in the back country of Pennsylvania when he lost control of his vehicle. He sustained a spinal cord injury and was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philladelphia.
Quaid is working hard to recover. On Sunday, October 13, Mobus was able to breathe without the use of a ventilator for three hours. He has begun physical and occupational therapy and is able to fully communicate with family and friends who come to visit every day. Through it all, Quaid is maintaining a strong sense of self and hearty sense of humor. His mother, Cindy Mobus, attributes Quaid’s progress to the grace of God and the steadfast support her family has received. “We are so grateful for all the prayers, visits, cards and gifts. Our community has been awesome.” Cindy Mobus
