PARKLAND, FL- The local Parkland community is rallying around the family of Mariapaz Sandoval. Sandoval, 14, was struck by a car while in the Heron Bay community of Parkland on May 12. Mariapaz’s parents, Cesar and Paola, are eternally grateful for the outpouring of support they have received from the community. Although the Sandovals have seen some signs of improvement, they know there will be a long road to Mariapaz’s full recovery.
For those wishing to help in a practical way, the Parkland community has set up a meal train plan to provide support and remove one of the extra burdens of working through a challenging time as this one. If you'd like to help provide a meal, please visit https://mealtrain.com/rkk122
Another avenue to support the Sandoval family is by contributing to the medical costs associated with the accident. “Help Mariapaz Stand Again” is live on GoFundMe to help the Sandoval family manage the expenses of her medical treatment.
