SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - Volunteers at Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains prepared and delivered sandwiches for Plainfield’s Second Street Youth Center (SSYC) on Wednesday, May 7.
Students at Terrill Middle School in Scotch Plains, participated in the synagogue’s monthly sandwich-making program to provide after-school snacks for school-age participants at the youth center. The monthly sandwich-making events are open to all congregants, as well as interested families and friends.
The Second Street Youth Center Foundation is a multipurpose non-profit organization that provides educational, vocational, cultural and recreational activities for youth and adults in the Plainfield community.
On Sunday, May 18, Congregation Beth Israel will host an open house and their annual 'End-of-Year Party' from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
