BAYONNE, NJ - Nearly three months after being injured at his job Councilman Sal Gullace made his first appearance at the Oct. 14 meeting of the legislative body, if only remotely. The affable Gullace, who also works as inspector for the Hudson County Improvement Authority, has undergone 13 surgeries since the workplace accident involving a waste removal truck in July.

“He still can’t put weight on his leg,” said Mayor Jimmy Davis, who said he was extremely happy that Gullace, who left the hospital in September and returned home in early October, was back serving the residents. “He went underwent a lot,” Davis said. “But I’m really glad to have him back.”
