NUTLEY, NJ - The County of Essex reported the 39th COVID-19 Coronavirus death in the Township of Nutley in their Dec. 2, 2020 report. The daily county report also shows 15 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the township.

Countywide, there were 292 new confirmed cases reported in Essex County. Two deaths, one in Nutley, the other in Cedar Grove, were also reported. To date, 2008 souls in Essex County have succumbed to COVID-19 Coronavirus. 

Statewide, NJ Gov. Phil Murphy reported 4,350 new confirmed cases of coronavirus.

The governor also reported  that at present, there are COVID-19 3,287 patients in our hospitals, 599 of those patients are in ICUs (Intensive Care Units). There are currently 354 ventilators in use across the state. 

While there were 367 patients discharged yesterday, there were also 507 COVID-positive residents admitted to hospital yesterday. On Dec. 1, there were 51 in-hospital deaths due to COVID-19.
