Charges: Possession of Under 50g (Marijuana); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Remarks: A 1996 Honda was stopped on the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Rattigan arrested the driver, Mario Bonilla, for suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court
appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for a seatbelt violation and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

South Union Avenue and Lincoln Avenue West
Arrested: Mohamed Alaoui, 26, Cranford
Arrested by: Ptl. Joseph Sherbo
Charges: Fugitive from Justice
Remarks: A 2008 Saab was stopped on South Union Avenue at Lincoln Avenue West for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Sherbo arrested the driver, Mohamed Alaoui, for an active warrant for his arrest out of Virginia. He was processed and remanded to the Union County
Jail pending extradition. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for a seatbelt violation and throwing debris from a vehicle.

North Avenue East and John Street
Arrested: Robert Jones-Goldstein, 20, Elizabeth
Arrested by: Ptl. John Rattigan
Charges: Possession of Under 50g (Marijuana); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Remarks: A 1996 Nissan was stopped on North Avenue East and John Street for failing to observe a red traffic signal. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Rattigan arrested a passenger, Robert Jones- Goldstein, for suspected marijuana found on his person. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, the driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for failing to observe a red traffic signal.

Arrested: Karen Gasca, 21, Elizabeth; Luis Jerez, 24, Union

Charges: Possession of Under 50g (Marijuana); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Remarks: A 2008 Honda was stopped on Elizabeth Avenue and Van Buren Avenue for an inoperable headlight. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Chamra arrested the driver and a passenger, Luis Jerez and Karen Gasca, for suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle. They were processed and provided with Municipal Court appearance dates. In addition, the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps, delaying traffic and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Remarks: A 1999 Nissan was stopped on South Avenue East for use of a cell phone while driving. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Gross arrested the driver, Taylor Hamilton, for a suspected “crack pipe” found inside the vehicle. She was processed and provided with a Municipal Court
appearance date. In addition, she was issued a motor vehicle summons for use of a cell phone while driving a motor vehicle.
