CRANFORD - Did you have a political campaign sign on your lawn that recently went missing?
The Cranford Police received several reports on Sunday from residents that their political campaign yard signs were stolen from their property. The Department on Monday announced that Patrolman Christopher Gross identified a vehicle suspected of the thefts in the area of S. Union Avenue and Lexington Avenue at approximately 10:37 p.m. on Sunday. Gross stopped the motor vehicle and after an investigation identified the juveniles involved and recovered 26 of the stolen yard signs, police said.
The incident has been turned over to the Cranford Police Department Juvenile Bureau for further investigation, police said.
