Crazy Fun Days at Clark Camp

CLARK, NJ – The Clark Recreation Department’s summer day camp is delivering all sorts of fun to more than 600 campers daily.  Week two just ended and there are four more weeks to enjoy all the great activities the camp has to offer according to Recreation Director Ralph Bernardo.

Some of the great activities the kids have enjoyed so far include:

  • A fencing demonstration with National Fencing Champion Aleks Ochoki
  • Giant bubbles with the Bubble Guy, Jeff Broyer
  • Juggling Frisbees with Gary the Frisbee Guy
  • A visit from Outrageous Pets and their 12-foot snake
  • Crazy dance moves with Center for Dance’s Victor Bernardo

Along with the special guests, kids enjoy water day with special hose downs by the Clark Fire Department, daily arts & crafts, kickball games, contests, sports, video games in the visiting Game Truck, arcade games, ice pops and more.

130 high school and college counselors keep the campers safe, happy and organized.

Clara Gives Warm Hugs

Please meet our Senior Girl Clara.

Clara was rescued when we noticed her at a city shelter begging for help.  We were there to rescue a 13-year-old dog who was dumped by an owner who suddenly had no time for him and we noticed this beauty reaching out to us.

Clara's owner passed away and she found herself stuck at the city shelter.  The fate for a 14-year-old girl is not good ...
