The New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) has completed the parking garage project located on Fairmount Avenue between Christopher Columbus Boulevard and Mississippi Avenue. A ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the garage has been set for Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. At that time a new name for the building will also be unveiled.
At a cost of $30 million dollars, the five-story building with six levels of parking covers 411,690 square feet, including 16,170 square feet of retail space and 1,180 parking spaces. The garage is conveniently located in the city's Midtown District. It is visible and easily accessed from the Atlantic City Expressway and is convenient to a variety of the city's main attractions including Boardwalk Hall, Tanger Outlets - The Walk, the AC Convention Center and Ducktown Neighborhood. The garage will serve as the centerpiece to the development of the future Arts & Entertainment District. The building was designed to be the first and last impression that visitors experience as they travel to and from Atlantic City through this corridor.
The project, begun in late 2010 by General Contractor L. Feriozzi of Ventnor, NJ, created 170 new jobs and includes energy efficient lighting throughout, six electric vehicle charging stations, and a 54,000 square foot rooftop solar array consisting of 1,677 solar panels.
"This state-of-the-art garage and retail space will provide efficient parking resources to the surrounding businesses in the Tourism District," stated CRDA Executive Director John Palmieri. "The inclusion of art and retail space at street level creates a pedestrian friendly and safe environment for visitors and residents alike."
The new garage will be managed and operated by Standard Parking, a leading national provider of parking facility management. A partnership with South Jersey Transportation Authority allows for the acceptance of the E-Z Pass Plus in the new garage.

“This new family-friendly festival, for the military and the general public, will ensure that Memorial Day Weekend in the Wildwoods is unforgettable in every sense of the word, and will attract visitors to the Wildwoods Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall,” explained John Siciliano, Executive Director of the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA).
Thousands of active duty servicemen, women, veterans, first-responders and their families will be invited to participate in the weekend’s festivities, which include a military parade, family beach events and a recognition ceremony, as well as VIP treatment with special hotel rates, restaurant offerings and discounts to area attractions for active military, veterans and first responders will be in effect the entire weekend.
A USO-style variety show and concert at the Wildwoods Convention Center emceed by Entertainer Joe Piscopo will take place on Sunday, May 27. The Saturday Night Live star alum will perform his orchestra-backed Sinatra musical set, and Philadelphia’s own Bobby Rydell will perform “Wildwood Days”, in addition to a number of other special musical artists and entertainers.

The National Constitution Center celebrates those who support and defend American freedom and was pleased to host today’s announcement. The NCC joins these very prestigious organizations in coordinating another feature of the weekend, the Military Interactive Center, which offers families and friends the opportunity to reach out to loved ones overseas and on military bases around the world. Operation Homelink Executive Director, Dan Shannon, from Chicago, has graciously donated 100 computers, which will be used in the center and distributed to military families after the weekend. In addition, the National Constitution Center will present its popular Soldier Mail Call program which, along with the USO, invites the public to send postcards to troops.
Several media partners including Philadelphia’s NBC-10, the Celebration’s official TV partner, will actively promote the event on-air in advance and throughout the weekend, along with Philadelphia and New Jersey public television stations WHYY and NJTV. Radio sponsors include Philadelphia’s B-101 and WXTU 92.5, New Jersey 101.5 and South Jersey’s Longport Media Group.

The “Celebration of Heroes” Festival will be produced and directed by Diane McGraw, President of McGraw Productions, and her event team. McGraw has an extensive sports and entertainment background, having served as President of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission, the Orlando and Louisville Sports Commissions and Executive Director of the Philadelphia Sports Congress.

Boogie Nights celebrates the spirit of music from the 1970s and 80s so it’s only fitting that nightclub management hired Mark Weiss—photographer to some of the music industry’s megastars from those same decades—to shoot imagery for their advertising campaign. Boogie Nights has also purchased some of Weiss’ iconic photography for display throughout the nightclub.
“My interest in rock ‘n roll photography began on August 9, 1974 in Roosevelt Stadium at a Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young concert. That night, I ran into someone I knew making his way to the front of the stage with his camera in one hand and a hot girl in another. I knew at that point—this what I want to do,” said Weiss.
Now Weiss will bring his flair for music photography to the Boogie Nights advertising campaign and guests of the nightclub will also be able to enjoy some iconic pictures he’s taken over his extraordinary career.
