A resident from Tudor Oval reports an act of criminal mischief to their vehicle. Subject states that unknown actor(s) scratched/damaged the vehicle.

A resident from the 200 block of Palsted Avenue reports being the victim of a fraud. Victim was presented a fraudulent check. No loss of money at this time.

June 28, 2013 6:17 p.m.

Albert W. Grohmann, 37, of Westfield responded to Westfield Police Department to satisfy an active traffic warrant issued by Clark Municipal Court. Grohmann was processed and released after posting $200.00 bail.

June 29, 2013 1:35 a.m.

Samuel C. Jett, 19, of Reedville, VA was arrested for driving while intoxicated pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at North Scotch Plains Avenue/West Broad Street. Jett was transported to Headquarters and released to a sober adult.

June 29, 2013 11:33 a.m.

Morgan Stellwagen, 26, of Mountainside was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $106.00. Stellwagen was arrested, processed and posted bail.

June 29, 2013 4:39 p.m.

An employee in the 200 block of Central Avenue reported a theft of a cellular phone from their business establishment. The phone is described as a “LG Optimus G” valued at approximately $650.00. The theft occurred between 1435 and 1630 on this date. This matter is currently under investigation.

June 29, 2013 7:14 p.m.

A resident of the 700 block of Castleman Drive in Westfield reported a theft of their bicycle while it was left, unsecured, outside a business establishment in the 200 block of East North Avenue. The theft occurred between 1500 and 1850. The bicycle is described as a powder blue-colored “Concord Amigo” mountain bicycle, valued at approximately $200.00.

June 29, 2013 11:11 p.m.

Kendall Edwards, 28, of Maplewood was arrested on the strength of an outstanding traffic warrant ($350.00) out of Westfield Municipal Court pursuant to a pick-up at Point Pleasant Police Department. Edwards was transported to Headquarters, processed and placed into cell #1 in lieu of bail.

June 30, 2013 9:30 a.m.

Laura Smith, 23, of New Brunswick was arrested at the Plainfield Police Department on Westfield warrant B44299 in the amount of $593.00. Smith was transferred over to Union County Jail in lieu of bail.

July 1, 2013 8:25 a.m.

Mark Darouichi, 56, of Mountainside was arrested for a warrant out of the town of Springfield during a motor vehicle stop at Mountain Avenue/Orchard Street in the amount of $153.00. Darouichi posted bail and was released.
