PATERSON, NJ - Mayor Andre Sayegh and President Richard J. Helldobler of William Paterson University are set to host the daylong Propel Paterson Symposium to kick off a new partnership between the City of Paterson and William Paterson University designed to support Paterson’s revitalization through learning, research, and action.

Announced at a city hall press conference last month, the action-oriented conference will include city leaders and University faculty and administrators, who will examine opportunities in healthcare, education, business, social services, and the arts, culture and tourism leading to the development of a blueprint for sponsored faculty research and community redevelopment projects.

“I am excited that this day has arrived,” Sayegh said. “I am grateful for this partnership with President J. Helldobler of William Paterson University and their hosting of the Propel Paterson conference to launch this increased collaboration. We anticipate some fantastic action items in areas ranging from redevelopment to culture, arts, and tourism, and this is just the beginning.”
