SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health on Wednesday reported an increase of 111 positive tests for the COVID-19 virus overnight, bringing the total number of cases to 8,888 with 537 COVID-10 deaths reported since March 8. 

The New Jersey Department of Health on Wednesday reported a total of 346,206 positive cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began its spread in the state 270 days ago, an increase of 4,296 overnight. There was an increase of 55 deaths, bringing the state total to 15,309. There have been 6,133.587 COVID-19 tests administered in New Jersey.

 

The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide is now 64,543,509 including 1,493,921 deaths, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention on Wednesday morning, with 14,152.104 cases in the United States and 277,738 deaths.

The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 165 Franklin Township residents; 81 in Hillsborough/Millstone; 75 in Bridgewater; 42 in Bernards Township; 39 in North Plainfield; 33 in Green Brook; 16 in Watchung; 14 in Raritan; 16 in Bound Brook; 16 in Warren; 11 in Manville; 7 in Somerville; 6 in Montgomery; 5 in Branchburg; 4 in Bedminster; 3 in Bernardsville; 3 in South Bound Brook and one in Peapack-Gladstone.

No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Far Hills, Millstone or Rocky Hill.
