MADISON, NJ - Pitcher Stephanie Deeb put forth an overpowering performance to lift the Madison varsity softball team to a 5-1 victory over Morristown-Beard Thursday.
Deeb, a junior, struck out 12 batters and walked none in six innings. She allowed two hits. Mackie Goodwin cracked a two-run home run for the Dodgers.
Alise Bassolino and Caitlyn Massaro each delivered two hits for Madison, including a double apiece. Massaro also finished the game pitching, allowing two hits in the final inning.
