DENVILLE, NJ -- The Township of Denville announced that Gardner Field Playground will open on Mon., July 13, 10 days after all other playgrounds opened in the Township. All playgrounds, including the Gardner Field Playground, will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting.

The Township further announced that a playground attendant will be stationed at the entrance of Gardner Field Playground to ensure visitors adhere to playground rules.

• A maximum of 50 individuals (including adults and children) will be permitted into the playground area at any one time.
• Children aged 3 and older along with adults must wear masks at all time while within the grounds of the playground.
• Visitors to the playgrounds are expected to respect six-foot social distancing protocols.
• No food or beverages of any kind will be permitted in any of the playground areas.

The announcement stated that the playground equipment will be cleaned periodically but will NOT be sanitized. Consequently, visitors enter the playground at their own risk.
