The New Jersey Department of Health recommends that all health care personnel get vaccinated annually against influenza. Ninety-seven percent of the Trinitas staff have been vaccinated against flu. The remaining three percent includes those with medical and religious exemptions.

Health care personnel get vaccinated, not only to protect themselves, but to also protect those who are more vulnerable to serious flu illness, like babies and young children, older people, and people with certain illnesses.

The NJ Health Department has launched its #FighttheFluNJ[twitter.com] campaign to encourage residents to get vaccinated and take steps to prevent the spread of flu, which includes social media, posters, and digital billboards across the state.
