Discovery Wellness Center, LLC was Proud to be a Sponsor of the 2nd Annual Action for Distraction 5k Family Fun Run

Discovery Wellness Center, LLC was one of the sponsors at the 2nd annual Action for Distraction 5k Family Fun Run, which took place this past Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Loantaka Brook Reservation in Morristown.

The therapists themselves handed out over 300 stress balls at their sponsor tent, along with Discovery Wellness, LLC pens and passed out brochures containing information about what alternatives the Wellness Center offers. The tent also featured hula-hoops and corn hole for the kids. The Discovery Wellness penguin mascot even made an appearance and danced around with the guests! With over 300 registered runners, each received a medal for finishing the race, finish line refreshments, and everyone got to enjoy the after party with the GAMES2U Mobile Gaming Truck!

All proceeds from the event were used to purchase gaming systems for children at Goryeb Children’s Hospital located in Morristown, NJ. The Wellness Center offers counseling and therapy for people who are looking to make positive changes in their lives. Their alternative health services focus on life issues, positive mental health, mentoring, nutrition, behavior modification, anxiety, depression, health related disorders, bipolar disorder, and many more.
