Citizens from neighboring towns of Berkeley Heights, Chatham, Summit, & Madison also attended. Around one hundred fifty adults, including seniors and children were present.

Sunil Abrol chairman of the Diversity Committee said “This was our best attended event to date, and a very positive and welcoming spirit was present throughout the evening.”

There were activities for children, including story telling by local resident Linda Howe, Origimai lessons by Alice Baldwin Jones (resident of South Orange), and several musical and dance performances from teens in the borough.  A Children’s ‘hangout’ was set up created in the card room at the Senior Center so that children and teens had an opportunity to meet with friends and have a fun time whilst the main performances were being conducted in the hall.
