MILLBURN, NJ – Downtown Millburn was buzzing on Thursday evening as Girls Night Out filled the sidewalks and shops with activity.
“We’ve had a very good turnout tonight,” said Downtown Millburn Development Association President Harry Roth, owner of Eye Q Opticians. “The weather has cooperated. It stopped raining. With the nice crowds in town, Downtown Millburn is getting a nice dose of exposure and the merchants will benefit from that, not just tonight, but long-term.”
Many local merchants offered special discounts and events in-store for the Girls Night Out participants.
“The whole idea of Downtown Millburn putting on Girls Night Out is to give everybody exposure and to let people from all around the area know that we’re here, we’re vibrant and we offer a little bit different product and service than you’re going to find on the highway or at the mall,” said Roth.
The registration tent included information tables with displays from local philanthropies like Opportunity Project and Down the Block. There were gift bags and t-shirts, giveaways and promotions. Up and down the Downtown corridor, there were tastings and savings, with a festive spirit and a lot of laughter.
