Downtown Paterson SID Announces Sidewalk Sale Days Featuring Weekly Giveaways

May 23, 2013 at 3:38 PM

The 2013 Downtown Paterson Sidewalk Sale Days are slated to begin on June 1 and continue through the end of the summer (August 31).

More than 200 retailers have the option to participate by showcasing regular sale and clearance merchandise on their sidewalks on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during June, July and August. These sale days are enhanced by weekly prize contests, sponsored by the Downtown Paterson Special Improvement District. The prize awarded throughout the month of June is a Family Fun Package which includes six movie passes and concession coupons to the Fabian 8 Cinema and a month-long membership to Planet 301. An emphasis on “back to school” in the months of July and August means an iPad Mini giveaway to one lucky customer per week.

“Time and again it pays to shop local,” said Sheri Ferreira, executive director of the Downtown Paterson Special Improvement District, Inc. “In addition to affordable prices and a competitive variety of stores within our retail district, promotions like this, which are sponsored by our businesses and merchants, enhance the shopping experience. We look forward to randomly selecting the lucky winner from thousands of ballots.” Weekly winners will be announced on the Downtown Paterson Retail Shopping Facebook fan-page.
