In areas of the world where sustainable, clean water is scarce, women carry 20-25 liter buckets of water from wells to their homes multiple times each day just to meet their family's needs. One liter of water weighs 1 kg., so they are carrying approximately 22 kg.. of water.

Revivify will supply the buckets for the walk, and there is no cost to participate. A suggested $22 donation to Operation Water -- funds that will ensure that one individual will have sustainable access to water for their entire life -- is suggested.

Resolving to end the global water crisis in next 30 years, Operation Water's mission is to deliver clean water solutions to the greatest number of people in need, at the lowest cost per person, by developing sustainable infrastructure projects. Operation Water believes that creating sustainable access to clean water provides a pathway to mitigating mortality and morbidity while alleviating malnutrition, gender inequality, and disparities in economic opportunity.
