Durso Wins Coaching Debut; Chatham Softball Wins Opener, 9-1

PARSIPPANY, NJ - Senior center fielder Charlotte Zukauckas collected four singles and two RBI to back the pitching of Susan Wolsch as Chatham won its softball opener, 9-1 over Parsippany Hills on Tuesday.

The victory marked the debut of head coach Adriana Durso for Chatham.

Zukauckas also made a diving catch to take away an extra-base hit for Parsippany Hills and helped Wolsch finish the game with no earned runs allowed.

Junior outfielder Isabel Chin contributed four hits, including a double, for Chatham, which received a triple and a double from first baseman Stephanie Viscovich. Freshman outfielder Bonnie Kennedy and senior catcher Candace DeVito each had two hits for the Lady Cougars. Shortstop Elizabeth Silveira doubled for Chatham.
