DWI Arrest After Crash in Westfield

August 5, 2014 9:53 p.m.

John J. Eckel Jr., 67, of Iselin was arrested for D.W.I. following a motor vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Central Avenue. Eckel Jr. was held at Westfield Police Headquarters pending his sober release.

Steven Kelley, 55, of Westfield was arrested on a $1,300.00 warrant out of Dover Court. Kelley posted bail and was released.

August 6, 2014 6:05 p.m.

A resident in the 800 block of Nancy Way reports a theft of their bicycle while it was placed, unsecured, in a bicycle rack in the 800 block of Rahway Avenue. The bicycle is described as a red/white colored “Schwinn” boys, shore cruiser style. The approximate value of the bicycle is $200.00.

August 7, 2014 3:25 p.m.

A black “Trish McEnvoy” make-up bag containing miscellaneous brushes and skin products was found in Municipal Lot #2. The bag and contents were secured for safekeeping as no ownership information was available.

Michael Woodall, 25, of Piscataway was arrested on the strength of the following warrants: South Plainfield Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500.00 and Mountainside Municipal Court in the amount of $450.00 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of E. Broad Street. Woodall was transported to Westfield Police Department where he was processed and released after posting bail.

August 8, 2014 8:00 p.m.

Bilah Roame Muhammad, 27 of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Westfield and Pleasantville. Muhammad was unable to post bail and was remanded to county lock-up.

August 9, 2014 3:11 p.m.

Jason Timmons, 27, of Elizabeth was arrested at Westfield Police Headquarters on the strength of a Union County Sherriff No Bail Warrant. Mr. Timmons was processed and transferred over to Union County Sherriff’s Office.

August 10, 2014 3:23 p.m.

Kenneth Wichosk, 28, of Westfield was arrested on open warrants out of Westfield, Garwood and Cranford. Wichosk was processed and held pending bail.

August 10, 2014 4:42 p.m.

Patrick McBreaty, 53, of Westfield was arrested on an open warrant out of Robbinsville. McBreaty was processed and released after posting bail.

Antonio Martins, 55, of Garwood was arrested at Essex County Jail on the strength of the following warrants: Westfield Municipal Court warrant #SC 2013 0003617 in the amount of $633.00 and Roselle Municipal Court warrant #SC 2014 011623 in the amount of $500.00. Martins was transported to Headquarters where he was processed and placed into cell #1 in lieu of bail.

August 13, 2014 1:29 p.m.

David Holmes, 30, of Roselle was arrested at Westfield Police Department Headquarters on two warrants out of this jurisdiction. Mr. Holmes paid $144.00 bail and was released with a court date.

August 13, 2014 10:34 a.m.

Antonio Martins, 55, of Garwood was arrested on a warrant out of Roselle in the amount of $500.00. Martins was arrested at Westfield Police Headquarters. Roselle released him on his own recognizance with a court date.

36-Year-Old Man Shot to Death in Plainfield
