E.O. Division of Senior Service and Division of Employment & Training Open House

EAST ORANGE, NJ - East Orange residents are invited to an Open House on Wednesday, March 5 at the Senior Services Center to learn about the valuable services offered by the Division of Employment and Training and the Division of Senior Services.

The Open House will offer building tours, presentations and performances by a Gospel Choir and the Silver Steppers Dance Troupe. Refreshments will be served.

One of the city’s busiest offices, the Division of Employment and Training moved to its new location at 90 Halsted Street on Jan. 30.  The space includes a state-of-the-art computer lab and residents are offered assistance with resume writing, employment searches, job training and other resources.

The Division of Employment and Training is also home to the Youth 2000 Initiative’s “Let’s Put Our Youth to Work” program, which has provided thousands of young people with career-enhancing summer and after-school jobs.

The Division of Senior Services offers activities, programs and services for East Orange residents who are 60 years of age and above as well as disabled adults.

The Open House will take place on Wednesday, March 5th from 9:30AM to 6:00PM at the Senior Services Center, 90 Halsted St., East Orange, NJ 07018.
