East Brunswick Police Respond To An Armed Robbery

September 18, 2013 at 5:28 PM

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - On Sept. 15 at approximately 4:45 a.m., East Brunswick Patrol Units responded to an armed robbery at the Exxon Gas Station located at 1085 Route 18 at the corner of Rues Lane.

The gas station attendant advised the responding officers that two black males entered the gas station and brandished a short-handled shotgun. They demanded money from the attendant. The suspects then stole an undetermined amount of money, cigarettes, cigars and batteries. The suspects then entered a minivan that was parked behind the gas station in the car wash parking lot. East Brunswick Police Units and surrounding towns searched for the suspects with negative results. The attendant was unharmed during the incident and refused medical attention.

One suspect was described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 6-feet and 6-3 tall, bald with a medium build. He was wearing a long sleeve tan shirt with a checkered design and green/black camouflage pants. The second suspect was approximately 5-7 to 6-feet, wearing black pants and a black hoody sweat shirt. Both suspects had what appeared to be white t-shirts wrapped around their faces in an attempt to conceal their identity.

If anyone witnessed or has any information concerning the incident they are asked to contact Detective John Breen of the East Brunswick Police Department’s Investigative Division at (732) 390-6990.
