East Orange Businessman Launches Worskshop Series for Local Churches

January 22, 2014 at 3:52 PM

EAST ORANGE, NJ - East Orange resident and entrepreneur Marvin Dunn recently held a workshop in Maplewood for local area churches on IRS compliance issues for religious institutions. Dunn is Founder and CEO of Church Management Today & Church Management Today Institute, Inc. Through these vehicles he has been able to offer both fee based and free classes/workshop/seminars for church leaders to help them avoid the pitfalls associated with poor management and compliance.

According to Dunn, his interest in this subject is a passion; a ministry that he puts his entire self into. The issues of Church vs. State can be confusing and sometimes difficult to navigate. While the positive impact of the Christian Church in society is well documented, without proper training, few church administrators are able to stay abreast of current regulations regarding tax compliance, reporting, etc. Dunn has made himself expert in this often neglected area of administration and offers his services to churches all throughout the metropolitan area.

Church Management Today specializes in church organizational management and financial reporting. Dunn is aggressively positioning himself this year as a leader in the field and a valuable asset to churches everywhere.

Dunn is hosting a series of workshops for church leaders and laypersons in the upcoming months. His next workshop is The Power of the 501 (c)(3) this coming Saturday 9:00AM – 11:30Am January 25, 2014 at First Maplewood Baptist Church, Inc. 106 Burnett Avenue Maplewood, New Jersey. Reverend Marsha E. Butler is Senior Pastor.  For more information contact Marvin Dunn at 201.978.8798.
