Eastside Football Team Takes on Fair Lawn; JFK Idle This Week

PATERSON, NJ - The Eastside varsity football team will take a two-game winning streak into its road game against Fair Lawn in Bergen County at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The Ghosts (2-5) are the only city team in action this weekend, as Kennedy's varsity team has a bye week following its 28-0 loss to formidable Old Tappan last week.

Eastside's play has picked up considerably as the season has progressed. After dropping their first five games, the Ghosts defeated Passaic, 22-0, and Clifton, 22-18. Quarterback Tahj Upshaw passed for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the victory over Clifton, which also featured 75 rushing yards by Marlon Ebanks and 95 receiving yards on three catched by Prince Block, who also made an interception on defense.
