EDISON, NJ – One of the most delicious things about summer is the local farmer’s market such as Edison Farmer’s Market. The local farmers and producers are showing off their products to local community such as Cara Bella Flavored Organic Olive Oil, Benson’s BBQ, Raritan Bakery and Pop’s Farm Market.
New Jersey is still the Garden State with some fantastic local produce. Fruits and vegetables that haven't traveled thousands of miles are available locally. The farm-to-table trend is not only good for our health, it's also important for the local economy. So come out and support Jersey farms by buying and eating local fresh produce.
Besides local and organic fruits and vegetables, you can also find artisan baked goods, homemade wine, honey, cheese and soaps at Edison Farmer’s market. Many farmers now accept Woman, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) vouchers, which is great news for families and seniors in this economy.
“My product is a newest and purest olive oil on the market,” said Vincent from Cara Bella. “We have four great flavors to offer Chili, Garlic, Lemon and Basil in Extra Virgin Olive Oil.”
“My grandfather started the business and taught us how to cook on the grill in Alabama. We have the best BBQ sauce on the market. It is completely organic made with our special recipe,” said Benson from Benson BBQ. “We are here to show lots of love and our food is great.”
Edison Farmer’s Market is open every Sunday from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. from June 1 – October 26 at 925 Amboy Avenue, Edison, NJ.
