Edison Police Officers Pedal in Police Unity Tour

EDISON, NJ – Edison Police Lieutenant Sal Filannino and other members of the department rode their bikes in honor of fallen law enforcement officers as part of the Police Unity Tour. They started in NJ and will conclude in Washington DC as part of the services held at the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial.

Police Unity Tour Schedule:

May 10, Day 1, the ride started in Somerset/Franklin NJ traveling through the rural countryside of central New Jersey and crosses the Delaware River at New Hope entering southeastern Pennsylvania. Day one will take us to downtown Philadelphia.

May 11, Day 2, bike tour winds through historic Philadelphia and then south in to Delaware and Maryland arriving in Baltimore near the Inner Harbor.

May12, Day 3, The ride continues south to Washington D.C. where Police Unity Chapters meet are RFK Stadium a few short miles from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

A Candle Light vigil will take place on May 13 at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum.
