BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - There was a great turn out for the Berkeley Heights Summer Concert Series featuring the "Elvis Tribute Show" concert in Memorial Park. With 600 people in attendance, the field was filled with people that adored Elvis. The band "Blue Smoke" was playing and had Tony at the lead as Elvis. He was dressed to the nines in Elvis's best attire.
They sang many an Elvis hit, such as "Burning Love" and "In The Ghetto". They also played "Love Me Tender," which is from Elvis's first movie, Love Me Tender. During the song, Tony sang to his wife, who was a back up singing on stage with him.
The Concert in the Park Series is sponsored all season long by Suburban Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights, Berkeley Aquatics and the Special Events Committee. Sponsoring the "Elvis Tribute Show" was Re/Max Integrity Advantage located in Berkeley Heights. Barbara and Jim Mulcahy from Re/Max were present handing out complimentary popcorn and water.
