EAST ORANGE, NJ - The East Orange Sustainable Food Alliance (EOSFA) is hosting a Community Engagement and Organizing (CEO) session this Tuesday, June 12th 6pm-8pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 153 Glenwood Avenue.

The purpose of this CEO is to continue to build community around sustainability and food access. At this session we will share the training opportunities coming up, which will include new horticulture classes, all new and exciting nutrition training and the Master Gardener Certification Program; all of which will be facilitated through divisions of The Rutgers Cooperative Extension Program.

“Our intent is to foster our community to be as knowledgeable about urban agriculture and it’s many considerations as feasibly possible. It is our vocation. We will also begin to organize focus groups so that we can better leverage the interest, skills and talents that make up our alliance more efficiently”, advises Mark Cheatam, City of East Orange Community Coordinator and EOSFA Liaison. “And please join us and bring a friend”.
