Essex County Sheriff's Department Organizes 25th Annual Food Drive

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura and his staff in the Sheriff's Office delivered turkeys, traditional holiday foods, and more to families in need for their Thanksgiving meals. In addition, the department delivered hundreds of other turkeys and hundreds of pounds of vegetables, potatoes, cranberries and desserts to local food pantries, houses of worship, senior citizen centers, schools and social service agencies to help stock their shelves for the winter months.

Fontoura, his officers, and his staff have provided tens of thousands of meals over the past 25 years to needy families and the homeless.
