FAIR LAWN, NJ - For the 8th year the Sisterhood of the Fair Lawn Jewish Center/ Congregation B'nai Israel is running a Purim 5K Fun Run/1 Mile Walk to raise money for the non-profit Tikvah Program of Camp Ramah in the Berkshires. This year's run/walk is scheduled for Sunday, March 1st at 10:00 a.m. beginning at the Fair Lawn Jewish Center,10-10 Norma Avenue, Fair Lawn.

This event has attracted all categories of runners and walkers from the community. Last year, the race was fortunate to have Governor Phil Murphy and his wife Tammy participate. The event was featured on FiOS 1 News. Various media outlets have covered the Fun Run  over the years.

The greater community is invited to walk, run or even spectate. The more registrants, the more funds to benefit the Tikvah Program.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

The goal of the Tikvah Program is to support Jewish Campers with special needs and enhance their Jewish identity and teach Jewish values in inclusive and fun environment. The campers have mild to moderate social or emotional challenges, such as ADHD, autism, language issues and anxiety. They receive assistance in areas of social skills, conflict resolution, communication and support with organizational and sensory challenges.
