PARAMUS, NJ -  A 27-year-old Paramus woman was among several volunteers recently honored by Children’s Aid and Family Services for their dedication to helping those who are served by the non-profit agency.

Raphaella Lekkas, who attends Children’s Aid and Family Services’ STRIVE day program for individuals with disabilities, volunteers her time at a number of places around northern New Jersey, including Petsmart, Humdingers and the Secaucus Animal Shelter.

Lekkas also alphabetizes and restocks books at the Fair Lawn Library, as well as helps prepare arts and crafts activities for field trips at Turtleback Zoo and the Bergen County Zoo.
