FAIR LAWN, NJ - An independent rally in support of police and first responders has been scheduled for August 3. Marchers will assemble at 6:30 p.m. at Radburn Train Station and march to Fair Lawn Borough Hall on the sidewalks of Fair Lawn Avenue.

Four organizers, John Cosgrove, David Boone, Craig Mont and Kathy Zaccone, released this message this afternoon:

Please come out and show your support for our Police and First Responders! We will assemble at the Radburn Train Station at 6:30pm and march to the Fair Lawn Borough Hall. Join with your fellow Fair Lawn residents as we show our appreciation to our Police and First Responders for keeping us safe and protecting our life and property.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

I’m sure you are all aware of recent unrest in our country, and this rally and march is to show that, in Fair Lawn, hate and discrimination have no home.

Ours is a very diverse community where our diversity does not divide us but instead it brings us together. Our Police and First Responders continually reach out to help all of our residents as recently witnessed during the Covid-19 pandemic. Everyone will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

We will march on the sidewalk and no one will be allowed to march in the street. I look forward to seeing you all on August 3rd as we show our support for our Police and First Responders.
