FAIRFIELD, NJ - Fairfield Police are seeking a driver who is being described as armed with two long guns. He is believed to be driving an older model black Ford SUV with the older blue New Jersey license plates. Area police are asked to use "extreme caution" in regards to the individual.
They believe the driver held one long gun on his lap and had one on the passenger seat and that he is wanted in connection to a phone call placed from the area of TD Bank located at 436 Hollywood Avenue in Fairfield.
Police are describing him as:
- Tattoos up and down his right arm
- Tall - his head touches the car ceiling
- 40-50 years old
He was last seen driving west on Fairfield Road in Fairfield.

Fairfield Police Deputy Chief Anthony Manna has reported that there was no specific incident at the bank concerning the individual and he has not been located.
Manna further stated that a citizen was the one who had observed the man. The observer processed what he saw and was apprently frightened enough to go inside the bank and speak with the bank manager and then called the police. "There was at least a ten minute delay before the police were called," Manna remarked.
As far as the area Fairfield schools which were in session, Manna commented, "The schools were notified but the police did not request a lockdown. However extra patrols were assigned to check the schools and increased precautions were taken."
