MONTCLAIR, NJ – Opening day of the 88th St. Sebastian’s Feast and Carnival was met with excitement and fun for the entire family on Wednesday.
Kavenly Field, ;located at the corner of Walnut and Grove Street in Montclair was brightly lit during the nighttime opening festivities. In addition to music and a vast array of food vendors, families enjoyed the rides, games and face painting. The newest ride, the ‘Ring of Fire Roller Coaster’ was a main attraction.
Dori Christmas attended opening day with her family to celebrate her son's 12th birthday. She said, "The kids had a blast at the carnival. We were pleasantly surprised that there were attractions and rides suitable for all ages, from my six year old to my teen daughter."
Lasting until Sunday, August 24 at 10PM, the St. Sebastian’s Feast and Carnival at 3:30 pm. The procession of the statue of St. Sebastian will begin at 3:30PM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and go throughout Montclair, where it will culminate at the feast at 6:30 pm.
The carnival lasts from August 20-August 24 and the hours are: Wednesday, August 20 - Friday, August 22 from 5-10PM and Saturday, August 23 - Sunday August 24 from 3-10PM.
