FANWOOD, NJ - Margaret Lewis, vice-chair of the Fanwood Board of Health, was named Fanwood Volunteer of the Month for her outstanding services to the town at the Borough Council Meeting on Wednesday.
Lewis, a nurse practitioner at Runnells Specialized Hospital in Berkeley Heights, has been a member of the Board of Health for the last several years. Her husband, Michael Lewis, volunteers on the Community Television Committee for the borough with Fanwood Community Television, the local television station seen on Channel 35 (Comcast) or Channel 24 (Verizon Fios). Both actively participate in the community.
“Margaret epitomizes the best of what Fanwood stands for; she is someone who has given her time to make Fanwood and the board of health a better place,” said Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr, who honored Lewis at the meeting with a traditional framed print of the historic Fanwood Train Station.
“We wanted to have the opportunity to thank her for her services,” added Mahr.
