WESTFIELD, NJ—On Thursday, Jan. 17, from noon to 1 p.m., The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce and the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce, with The Incubator Inc. /The BOSS, will offer a free inter-organizational presentation about disaster relief opportunities offered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Small Business Administration relating to Superstorm Sandy.
Representatives from FEMA and the SBA will present information and answer questions about recent extensions to their disaster relief assistance post-Sandy.
“This event represents an opportunity identified,” said GWACC Executive Director Heather Robinson. “Business organizations coming together for the purpose of a side-by-side sharing of important information that affects our entire community. The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to co-sponsor this cooperative session with our associates at the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce. We welcome all business professionals in our larger area to join us, regardless of affiliation.”
“Individuals, professionals, businesses large and small will be given the opportunity to question FEMA and the SBA related to the most current information regarding disaster assistance and relief for individuals, homes or business,” added Jeffery Dunn, President of the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce.
