GLEN RIDGE, NJ — The West Essex field hockey scored all its goals in the first half and went on to an 8-0 victory over Glen Ridge on Monday.

West Essex was on the field for the first time in more than two weeks, back on the field after a COVID-initiated pause in the season. 

Cait Lutz had a monster game, scoring five goals, as the Lady Knights (3-0) put in four goals in the first quarter and four more in the second quarter. Gianna Puorro collected two goals and three assists, and Halle Aschenbach scored one goal.

Julianna Tornatore passed for two assists, and Gianna Macrino assisted on one goal. West Essex outshot Glen Ridge, 25-1.
