Final Touches for Millburn-Short Hills Restaurant Week; Participating Restaurants Prepare for May 24 - 30 Culinary Celebration

The menus are being finalized for the inaugural Millburn-Short Hills Restaurant Week, scheduled to begin Monday, May 24 and run through Sunday, May 30.

The Dining Room at the Short Hills Hilton will make a delicious three-course dinner available during Restaurant Week at $35 per person. Choices will include vegetable or seafood appetizer, seafood, chicken or beef main course and a dessert favorite.

Benihana, located at 840 Morris Turnpike, will offer prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus, at $15 and $30, respectively. Restaurant Week lunch specials will include Benihana delights - selected appetizers, specified two-combination entrees and dessert. The $30 prix-fixe dinners feature one of two outstanding Benihana appetizers, four choices of entrée and dessert.

Between May 24 and 30, all menu items will be offered at a 20 percent discount at the newly-opened and already-popular Short Hills Pizza, 38 Chatham Road near the Short Hills NJT station.

In the Downtown, Q.J. Green Garden, 271 Millburn Avenue, will create four tasty pre-fixe dinner choices: $29.95 for a vegetarian dinner for two; $39.95 for a chicken or fish dinner for two; $59.95 for a three-person dinner and a dinner for four people for $79.95. All Q. J. Green Garden dinners will include soup, salad, chicken, fish or beef selections and fried rice, finishing with either ice cream or fruit dessert. An impressive prix-fixe Korean barbeque lunch will be on the menu Wednesday, May 26, beginning at 11:30 AM until 3:00 PM.

Semolina Restaurant, 343 Millburn Avenue, will offer its Restaurant Week prix-fixe menu May 25 - May 28. All dinners that week will be priced at $22, and will include menu choices of salad, a half-portion pasta dish and diner's choice of any Semolina chicken entrée. Mini-cannoli, tea or coffee will complete all meals. In addition, Semolina will accept reservations for a one-time May 25 five-course Italian Regional Tasting Menu dinner between 5:30PM and 8:00 PM. Cost per person is $29.95.

 Rockin' Joe of Millburn, 59 Main Street, 15 percent discount after 5 PM Monday - Thursday

 Sakura Japanese Restaurant, 44 Essex Street, pre-fixe dinner Monday - Thursday and special dinner tasting at 5 PM Saturday May 29

 Sapporo, 318 Millburn Avenue, prix-fixe dinner Thursday and 20 percent discount on all meals Monday - Wednesday

 Trattoria Gian Marco, 301 Millburn Avenue, discount on all meals.

Maplewood's Sona Indian Dining, 6½ Highland Place, a member of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce, has an impressive Grand Gala Buffet on its menu, all you can eat, on Wednesday, May 26 and Sunday, May 30, at $14.95. Sona will also feature a ten percent discount on all dinner checks Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday during Millburn-Short Hills Restaurant Week.

Restaurant Week was created by the Millburn-Short Hills Business Coalition, (MSHBC), a joint effort of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Millburn and the Township of Millburn.
