Former Bridgewater Soccer Player Hoping to Help College Team to Victory

August 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Bridgewater’s own Morgan Patullo will be among many students hoping to lead the women’s soccer team to victory at Gettysburg College this year.

Patullo will be a senior at the school this year.

Over the last four years, according to a release from the school, Gettysburg’s Bullets soccer team has won 12 matches and reached the Centennial Conference playoffs each year. The team advanced to the conference title match in 2011, and, in the past two seasons, has competed in the semifinals.

“Our goal every season is to compete for a conference title and get to the national tournament,” head coach Matt Garrett said in the release. “For three years running, we’ve missed that by one game. But we are working on things that as a team we haven’t worked on before to hopefully get us there.”

The team is coming off a 12–2–4 season. The girls are also coming off a great defensive season, finishing ninth in Division III.
