MADISON, NJ – The Madison varsity baseball team will be celebrating the accomplishments of its graduating seniors on Saturday during its game against Livingston.
Prior to first pitch, all of the seniors will present a rose to their mother and receive an on-field family photo.
“With solid pitching and our continued excellent defense, the Dodgers have an opportunity to knock off a big school and one that is highly rated in New Jersey,” Madison High School varsity baseball coach Mickey Ennis said.
The game will be held at Madison’s Dodge Field. The natural grass field was build by World War II veterans and the Borough of Madison with the consent of Gerladine Rockefeller Dodge in the mid-1950s.
“This is a little Fenway or Wrigley,” Madison High School Bull Pen Club president Joseph Falco, Jr. said.
Pre-game festivities will begin at approximately 6 p.m. Actress/singer and former Miss New Jersey Savannah Schecter will perform the National Anthem.
The Dodgers invite every Little Leaguer and their families to be a part of the festivities. Admission to the game is free.
"Arrive early and dine, be a part of Senior Night, listen to Savannah sing the National Anthem and then take in the great game,” Falco said.
