The Fortnightly Club of Summit, New Jersey will host its Annual Spring Scholarship Luncheon on Thursday, May 29th at the Beacon Hill Club in Summit, NJ at 250 Hobart Ave., Summit,NJ 07901 from11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Tickets will benefit The Scholarship Fund and The Fortnightly Club of Summit to help send a Summit girl to College!
Our guest panelists will engage in discussions about Healthy Bodies, Radiant Beauty, and Positive Spirit and include the following professional women;
Anne Akers, a well-known Publisher of consumer books, medical journals, and educational publications. A former business development consultant for private physicians and Co-Founder/Publisher of MDPUBLISH, a boutique publishing firm, Anne most recently launched GLOW Beauty Health & Wellness Magazine, devoted to connecting women with top sources in Health and Wellness.
GLOW Beauty Magazine is an upscale, high quality glossy consumer publication featuring leaders in beauty, health, and wellness and is available in both print and digital form at www.glowbeautymag.com . GLOW seeks to connect with its readers through the Glow Speakers Bureau, and regularly sponsors educational and networking events with top professional groups, charitable organizations, luxury retailers, and civic and community organizations.
Joining Anne will be GLOW Editor-at-Large, Sharon Marantz-Walsh and GLOW Positive Living Editor, Barbara Hannah Grufferman, as well as Sue Matthews, President of Tay-Bandz/Kids Curing Cancer. Sharon Marantz Walsh is an artist and Editor-At Large for GLOW Beauty Health & Wellness Magazine. An entrepreneur and charity advocate with an extensive background in marketing, and sales, she conceptualizes and produces major fundraising events, creating trademarked themes in the process. Over the years, her efforts have brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations, ticket sales, and in-kind gifts for our auctions, and raffles, not to mention exposure at several cultivation events. Board affiliations have included The Pajama Program, The Jefferson Awards, and The Duke Ellington Center for the Arts.
Barbara Hannah Grufferman is GLOW Positive Living Editor, author of “TheBest of Everything After 50:The Experts’ Guide to Style, Sex, Health, Money and More,” the National Osteoporosis Foundation Bone Health Amabassador, Huffington Post Columnist, and Host of "The Best of Everything" Weekly AARP YouTube Channel Show. As chief AARP Contributor, she is a regular guest on the Today Show. Prior to becoming a positive living advocate, Barbara built a career in the magazine publishing field where she held senior executive positions at many well-known magazines. She also served as President of World Congress LLC, an international conference firm which convened senior level officials and executives in the public and private sectors focusing on infrastructure development. Barbara frequently advises major multinational firms on reaching the growing 50+ demographic.
Sue Matthews, President of Tay-Bandz/Kids Curing Cancer, 501C3 non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and funding pediatriccancerresearchfounded,byherdaughterTaylorwhenshewasdiagnosedwithcancerat11yearsold. Sueis actively involved in advocating for children with cancer in memory of her daughter. She is a CPA who was a senior manager at Deloitte specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions.
