PARKLAND, FL- On the most American of holidays, this year's Fourth of July celebrations are taking on a more muted tone than ever before. Thankfully, fireworks can be viewed and enjoyed from a distance, so the show will go on for many local displays.

The City of Fort Lauderdale will be displaying fireworks shows at four different locations tonight so that a maximum number of people can see them in Broward County without leaving their homes. Local residents will also have the option of watching the fireworks on television.

The Fort Lauderdale locations all begin at 9 p.m. at the following locations:

• Holiday Park, U.S. 1 and Sunrise Boulevard

• City Hall, Andrews Avenue and NE 1 Street

• Carter Park, Sunrise Boulevard and NW 16 Avenue

• Beach Community Center, A1A and Oakland Park Boulevard

The fireworks will also be shown on Comcast Channel 78, AT&T U-verse Channel 99, YouTube, and FLTV.
