Over 300 students, parents, and teachers filled the Franklin Elementary School gymnasium in Westfield to participate in the fifth annual Family Math Night on Thursday, February 6. This year’s theme was Winter Olympics Kick-Off Celebration and featured such math events as using probability for bob-sledding, using map scale to determine the distance between Olympic countries, and using reflection to move a skier through a downhill maze.
