NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - A city hospital next month will offer free dental exams for children without dental insurance, but parents have to call an appointment.
On Feb. 7, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital will provide exams to children who did not see a dentist in 2018.
The exams, being offered on the 17th annual Give Kids a Smile Day, are available to children ages 3 to 12 who do not have the insurance.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times they are at the hospital.
The exams will be given from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ambulatory Services Dental Suite D located off the Arline and Henry Schwartzman Courtyard in the hospital at 1 Robert Wood Johnson Place.
Each child will receive a comprehensive dental exam, x-rays and cleanings. There may also be fillings, sealants and emergency treatment as needed.
Parents can schedule an appointment by calling 1-888-637-9584.
