Free Ragtime Concert at Thomas Edison National Historical Park August 21

The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra is appearing in a free concert at Thomas Edison National Historical Park on Thursday, August 21 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Credits:

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Rick Benjamin and the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra will perform in a free summer concert at Thomas Edison National Historical Park, 211 Main Street, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. The unique concert in the Laboratory Courtyard will entertain listeners with music from the heyday of the Edison Laboratory, ranging from popular "hits" of the era to compositions by Edison staff musicians, as well as music celebrating Edison's inventions. All music will be performed from original 19th and early 20th century scores.

The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra has become a renowned international source of historical and dance orchestra music, appearing in concerts worldwide and providing music for radio, TV and movies. Families may best recognize them for their recorded music at Disneyworld's Main Street, U.S.A. in Orlando and Anaheim.
