PARKLAND, FL- Cases continue to increase across the state as we head into the weekend. The percent of positive results ranged from 10.57% to 14.82% over the past 2 weeks and was 10.57% on Thursday, July 30, 2020. This percentage calculated is for people that test positive for the first time and does not include people that had previously tested positive.

Here are the current numbers as of the latest update on Friday, July 31, 2020:

Florida has 470,386 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 9,007 in 1 day.

Broward County has 55,411 confirmed cases, an increase of 1,099 in 1 day.

Parkland has 315 confirmed cases, an increase of 13 in 1 day. 

Coral Springs has 2,358 confirmed cases, an increase of 53 in 1 day. 

Deaths in Florida related to COVID-19: 6,843 an increase of 257 in 1 day.

Broward County has 3,283 (6.0%) hospitalizations with 709 (1.3%) deaths due to COVID-19. Deaths increased by 33 in 1 day. The median age is 39.

Broward County Hospital Bed Availability: Hospitals have 873 (16.0%) beds available and 49 (9.5%) adult ICU beds available.
