PARKLAND, FL- Parkland daily cases remain low while Florida cases continue to grow by close to 8000. The percent of positive results ranged from 8.35% to 12.27% over the past 2 weeks and was 10.12% Thursday, August 6, 2020. This percentage calculated is for people that test positive for the first time and does not include people that had previously tested positive.

Here are the current numbers according to the Florida Department of Health as of Friday, August 7, 2020:

Florida has 518,075 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 7,686 in 1 day.

Broward County has 60,746 confirmed cases, an increase of 688 in 1 day.

Parkland has 348 confirmed cases, an increase of 4 in 1 day. 

Coral Springs has 2,629 confirmed cases, an increase of 42 in 1 day. 

Deaths in Florida related to COVID-19: 7,927 an increase of 180 in 1 day.

Broward County has 3,595 (5.9%) hospitalizations with 782 (1.3%) deaths due to COVID-19. Deaths increased by 0 in 1 day. The median age is 39.

Broward County Hospital Bed Availability: Hospitals have 938 (17.4%) beds available and 62 (11.7%) adult ICU beds available per the latest data on Friday, August 7, 2020.
